Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Failed the rain test
It worked quite well at the beginning, warm, comfy, space friendly. However, i've now experienced water seeping thru the hood(thru the material) while the strings were tied and secure...My hair at the top of my head got real wet in the rain. I don't know if mine has a fault, as no other part leaks as yet.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - rain coat review
I purchased this rain coat to keep dry during our trip. While playing golf in the rain, the coat did not repell the water so I got wet.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I've made a great choice
Bought 2 of these jackets and i'm so happy with them. Great quality, perfect fit, usually the arms are too short, not with these. The material is heavy and shrugged off rain very well. No jacket is completely waterproof! Wrinkle free after washing. I would highly recommend this jacket.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Anorak Jacket
From the East Coast to Oregon I received my order in less than a week. I also requested a catalog from their web site and received. This windbreaker/rain gear is so great fitting, light and comfortable, I already placed an order for two more Anorak Rain Gear jackets.
The sizes are unisex, so look at the sizing chart before ordering. There is no seam across the shoulder, it runs up the arm and meets by the neck, so if you order too large there is no seam that hangs. In front is the zipper pocket which also is the pocket for wrapping up your jacket. There are two side pockets which connect underneath the front pocket. The bottom and hood have pull ties. It is nice for weather if not too cold, but when it is cold you can dress in layers with this jacket.
I don't know how it will protect in heavy rain, time will tell.
When I ordered the catalog, there were more colors available. I emailed the web site about that and received an answer the same day.
Another viewer wrote about smell, no smell noted, and I ordered three.
Navy, Royal Blue and Stone.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Good deal!
Its hard to know just what to expect from some online "deals". However, My experience with Amazon, in the past, has been very positive. The anorak I ordered arrived on time and was much better than expected. The fabric was more substantial than anticipated, the fit was perfect and the rain just doesn't get through. I'm very happy with the manufacturer, the price and Amazon.

We've seen some cool POV display setups in the past, like this bicycle spoke Obama propaganda message, but I don't recall one that could both amaze a person and take their limbs off at the same time. Called the "Display from Hell," that's pretty much what this thing does, all while projecting POV images using 100 blue SMD LEDs. The propeller, which spins at 140mph and is both huge and terrifying, was apparently rigged up for a party. A very dangerous party. From hell. Thanks, Joao! [Hackaday]

Prosecutors on Friday reached a plea agreement with former Connecticut school teacher Julie Amero, who at one time faced up to 40 years in prison after being convicted of endangering minors.

I've heard it said by Dave Winer and many many others: if only Dean had reinvested half the money raised into the Internet, then ...

OK, so you're the Dean Campaign Chief Information Officer in August 2003. The money starts to roll in. $20 million over six months, $2-4 million per month.

What would you spend the money on?

  1. What does your monthly budget look like?
  2. What is your application and infrastructure portfolio?
  3. How much will you allocate to maintenance?
  4. You're building from scratch, so what problems do you hope to avoid through wise architecture?
  5. What are your big milestones?
  6. Who are your key vendors?

How do you spend in consonance with the campaign strategy?

  1. How will you use the Internet to bring offline voters into the campaign at the same numbers as radio or television broadcasts?
  2. What is your online strategy for responding to attack ads and opposition pundits in radio, television and print?
  3. Online community takes time to build and is very hard to organize geographically. What will you do to match the state-by-state primary schedule?
  4. What can you do with online services to serve the campaign in caucus states?
  5. You are preparing for Bush to launch in Spring 2004. What are your countermeasures to reach out to moderate Republicans online while the GOP uses its advanced voter email systems to barrage 200 million validated email addresses?
  6. How will you lower the cost-per-vote vs. the GOP?

Hall & Oates are suing their publisher, Warner/Chappell Music Inc., claiming the publisher failed to enforce the copyright on their song "Maneater" and sue an unnamed singer-songwriter (quite possibly Nelly Furtado) for infringement. The only problem is, Timbaland and Nate "Danja" Hills - the composers of the Furtado track - also work for Warner/Chappel Music. What happens when publishers don't protect songwriters from other songwriters working for the same publisher.
